Who killed jesus christ it was not the jews it was society ?Did mob mentality kill jesus christ?

Is the view on the death of Jesus Christ twisted to blame the jews ?Was a ruling made by the ranting of a mob but not by the jewish community?

Jesus dying on the cross may well be one of history’s biggest hoaxes. The Bible is very weak on evidence of whether Jesus actually died ON THE CROSS and how many people actually saw that happen. Google and read about the ’swoon hypothesis’. The evidence is quite compelling.

This is more of a Religion & Spirituality question, partner.

And I would argue that Jesus was killed by a combination of Romans and Jews. The mob that was ranting was made up of Jews, and only Jews.

But the Romans were clearly in charge, and Pontius Pilate had the ability to let Jesus go. His washing his hands may have cleared him in his own mind, but that would not hold up in a fair court. He had the ability to save an innocent man that he believed was innocent, and did nothing.

    That dog don’t hunt, Monsignor.

But regardless of how you see it and who killed Jesus, they are all dead now. The Jews of today, nor the Italians, Romanians, French, Spanish, or Portugese (all 5 having been descended of the Romans), had nothing to do with it.

The mob killed him. "Give us Barabbas". But according to scriptures the Crucifixion was pre ordained. Done deal, Christ knew it was going to happen and walked right into it.

Sixty years later Rome came and drove the Jews out. (The diaspora)

300 years later, when the Roman Empire was failing, the Emperor Constantine literally high-jacked Christianity in it’s infancy, and started a new empire-The Roman Catholic church.

The pope had supreme power on earth, he had more power than kings. One of the most important teachings of the Catholic Church is to hate the Jews and blame them for killing Christ.

Interestingly, the Koran does NOT teach anti-semitism. It repeatedly teaches a hatred of Christians. Think about that.

It was a political execution. It suited Roman&Jewish religion people to kill Jesus, because he was taking people from their congregations, therefore these people took their donations with them when they took up with Jesus.Religions do not like that now,do they?

the Sanhedrin. the supreme court of ancient Israel.

According to the Gospels, the council conspired to have Jesus killed by paying one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, thirty pieces of silver in exchange for delivery of Jesus into their hands. When the Sanhedrin was unable to provide evidence that Jesus had committed a capital crime, the Gospels state that witnesses came forward and accused the Nazarene of blasphemy — a capital crime under Mosaic law. But, because the Sanhedrin was not of Roman authority, it could not condemn criminals to death, according to John 18:31. This did not prevent them from doing so at other times; Acts 6:12 records them ordering the stoning of Saint Stephen and also Jesus’ half-brother, James the Just

The others are pretty much on the right track, but maybe I can focus in on the exact point of your question which is who should we hold responsible for the actual crucifixion of Christ?

First a time line of events: The Pharisees collaborated and convinced the Roman authorities to arrest him and then bribed Judas into betraying him to the Roman soldiers by identifying him. Next he was brought before Pilate who as "magistrate" of the region had authority vested to him by Rome and was tried. However, having not found any evidence of guilt other than the false testimony of the Pharisees, he "washed" his hands of the whole matter and decided to let the Jews decide his fate by offering them the choice of Christ or Barabbas to go free. With Barabbas being a convicted murderer Pilate was assured Christ would go free and thereby absolve him of any guilt. It was a very volatile period then and much was done to placate the Jews to keep them from turning on the Roman government. When the Jews cried for his crucifixion Pilate had no choice but to have him put to death in the place of Barabbas. The Roman soldiers then carried out their orders just as any soldier then and now would do.

With all this in mind no one person or group of persons were more guilty of his death than the Pharisees as they had been plotting his death long before this time. However, God protected his Son until all prophesies concerning the Messiah had been fulfilled and even in his death was the fulfillment of the final prophesy that he would die and arise upon the third day. It was not coincidence that this happened during Passover. Christ suffered the agony of understanding what he was about to go through and prayed for release from this final torment, but bowed to his Father’s will in the end and did what he knew he had to.

So the technical answer to your question is that it was the Pharisees who had Christ put to death and the Roman soldiers who carried out the execution. However, it would be necessary to understand the Holy Trinity or Godhead Three as well as preordination in order to determine exactly whom was the exact cause of his death. That is an answer for another time though.
